Environmental Policy

Index Mineral Processors specialises in the manufacture and distribution to customers of high grade silica flours and sands. Our aim is good management of all aspects of the business including care of the environment in which we operate.

Our impact on the environment is recognized as a responsibility that we have a duty to manage. We undertake to minimise our impact on the environment and prevent pollution.

We will:

• conduct our operations in compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and licenses;
• identify environmental risks arising from our operations and implement a control plan that includes monitoring;
• continually improve our environmental management practices by setting objectives and targets;
• communicate regularly with employees and contractors about our organizational goals and about individual responsibilities;
• provide appropriate training and awareness for all employees on environmental issues;
• inform our customers and suppliers of our goals and their responsibilities in relation to our business;
• communicate with stakeholders, the community and governments about our goals and environmental performance.
