Top Ross

Initially a slow maturing horse Top Ross didn’t make his first racetrack appearance until he was a 3yo when he was given just one start and sent back to the paddock to mature.

His second race campaign was full of merit where he started five times, finishing no worse than 6th, and on average only 1.7 lengths from the winner.

The EI crisis then derailed his next campagin and when he finally returned to the track he encountered hoof problems which have needed close attention by Kelly Schweida and his staff.  In the best interest of Top Ross and in an attempt to prolong his career it was decided to give him a good break to allow his hooves to repair.
