Those who have inspected her have had various opinions as to the exact nature of the problem, although in general it is agree it is something like sciatica in a human.  This problem seems to limit her willingness to stretch out under the pressure of race conditions and there fore to date she has not been able to put her best foot forward raceway.  She is currently being prepared by Kelly Schwieda and it is hoped she may have overcome this problem and be able to produce her best form this time in work.  On the training track she has shown plenty but unfortunately has only been able to place twice from her six starts.

Regardless of how she performs, it must be said that Ross Maclean made an astute decision in sending ‘Prime Page’ to the then young and unproven Iglesia.  Iglesia has gone on to be one of the most successful Queensland stallions and is now one of the most expensive stallions to stand in Queensland.

Lets hope things go right for ‘Vital Page’ this time in and she gets the chance to live up to the potential she has on the training track, if not, due to her breeding she can sitll look forard to a career as a Broodmare which was Ross Maclean’s overall plan for her to continue on after her mother ‘Prime Page’
